Silent Comedies:
Main Feature: Big Business (1929) is a classic 19-minute silent short comedy starring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, released on April 20, 1929. Directed by James W. Horne and Leo McCarey for Hal Roach Studios, it is widely celebrated as one of the best examples of "tit-for-tat" escalation in cinema history.
Three Short Films: ( one, not so short!)
1. Santa Claus (1925) is a 29-minute silent holiday short film directed and filmed by Arctic explorer Frank E. Kleinschmidt alongside his wife, Margaret Alaska Kleinschmidt.
2. Christmas Toyshop is a 10-minute live-action and animated hybrid short film released in 1945.
3. Good Cheer is a 1926 American short silent comedy film that stands as the 46th installment in Hal Roach's famous Our Gang series (later widely known as The Little Rascals). Directed by Robert F. McGowan, it is particularly notable for being the only Christmas-themed short produced during the original silent era of the franchise.
